Nike designer Leo Chang is back at it again with KD's newest signature model the KD 8. Rumor has it that the shoe's design is inspired by KD's leg tattoo of a sabre-toothed tiger.
The sneaker features a high-rising heel counter with a split at the achilles that can be compared to the massive fangs of the sabre-toothed tiger. The shoe features a knit-like woven upper which is a complete departure from the mesh upper of the KD 7. Nike has also changed it up by adding a newly designed air unit to the front of the shoe. Another change on this KD shoe is that you won't find the number 35 anywhere. And of course, the rubber outsole with traction pattern gives you the traction you need for quick cuts and fast breaks.
UPPER: FlyWeave textile and synthetic with Flywire cables
MIDSOLE: Phylon cushioning
OUTSOLE: Rubber with multidirectional traction pattern
